Elephants Galore

Something the world wide web probably doesn’t know about me is that I have a growingly unhealthy obsession with elephants but they’re just so darn cute! As a result over the years I have acquired quite a few to say the least, mostly from independent shops in my area; apart from the smaller one directly below which was Accessorize in the sale and used to be a key ring until I surgically removed the ring bit! Here are a selection...

Pantene Pro V Intensive Hair Repair Treatment Review

Recently I had a little time to spare in town and of course, as usual, I found myself in Superdrug looking at hair products. When it comes to my hair I don’t like to take risks, I have used Pantene products for as long as I can remember and never had any problems they always leave my hair feeling soft and clean, however saying that I have always been prone to dry, split ends, no product has ever helped that. But, as I said the other day I was in Superdrug and noticed the Intensive Hair Repair Treatment and thought I would give it a go (I think it must be knew because I’ve never noticed it before).

I tried it for the first time that evening, and I have to admit you can feel the difference immediately. It feels looks and smells the same as any other conditioner yet hair feels noticeably softer and smoother without any weight, not advert worthy but worth the £3.99 and possibly a repurchase! I have used it twice now, once a week instead of normal conditioner.
I should say that they don’t seem to have it in Boots, or mine at least *makes pouty face due to loss of Advantage Card points*
Anyway 8.5/10, I’d give it a go if I were you :)

I went on holiday!

So the primary reason for my absence over the past week is because I went on holiday (hence title), the secondary reason is because I am not a very good blogger and did not pre-write and schedule a post to go up. Anyways now we have dealt with my ineptitude, I should tell you that I went to West Wales and actually had a surprisingly good time, showing that you don’t have to go abroad for some fun-filled, cloud-infested laughs!

The above contains two of my 5 a day, strawberry jam and currents in the scone!
If you ever visit West Wales you must go to St Davids, it has the cutest little shops with all sorts of kitchenware and other bits and pieces!

... and finally, this photo reminds me of Balamory

I hope everyone has a lovely week :)

FOTD with mini reviews!

This is the Face of the Day that I have been sporting for the past couple of months... enjoy!
: )

Clockwise from left: MaxFactor's Second Skin Foundation in Creamy Ivory; Natural Collection's Pressed Powder in Neutral; Gosh's 300 Powder Brush (used to apply the powder); Natural Collection's CoverUp Stick in Fair; L'Oreal's Volume Millions Lashes; and Benefit's High Beam.

Gosh's 300 powder brush: To be honest when it comes to brushes I can't really tell the good from the bad because this and £2 eye shadow brush are the only ones I own. I prefer to use my fingers to apply makeup but that doesn't really work when it comes to powder! No fall out with this brush but it is starting to get a little scratchy now; applies well, good value for money.

I love this foundation! Must have had three or four bottles of this! It gives medium coverage but can be built up to cover problem areas. It is a very 'glowy' foundation and gives a satin yet natural look, probably more suitable for those with dry skin like myself. The packaging gets a tick, glass bottle and pump; not amazing for travelling but it does have that luxurious, good quality feel.
Price: £12.99

I <3 this product, again have bought numerous of these. Very cheap meaning that the product and packaging isn't amazing but you get want you pay for. It covers well but has to be blended very thoroughly. Colour range isn't massive so be careful choosing the right one.

I have to admit I bought Glamour magazine twice to receive this free gift! Having dry skin, this is a really nice treat - not sure whether I will buy the full size version though as it only makes a small amount of difference and is very pricey. A bit of a letdown but I still use it because I do feel like it adds a nice touch. Not an essential in my beauty routine but a luxurious extra.

Good mascara but you have to give it time, when I first bought this I wanted to try a volumising mascara and frankly wasn't too excited with the result. However after a couple of goes I have found that it is best applied if held at the root of the lashes for a few seconds, wiggle, and then work on the ends.

Good powder but to be honest it's the only one I have ever tried. If it isn’t broken, don't fix it!

Thank you for reading, please leave any suggestions or comments.
I hope you have a beautiful week filled with sunshine!
