FOTD with mini reviews!

This is the Face of the Day that I have been sporting for the past couple of months... enjoy!
: )

Clockwise from left: MaxFactor's Second Skin Foundation in Creamy Ivory; Natural Collection's Pressed Powder in Neutral; Gosh's 300 Powder Brush (used to apply the powder); Natural Collection's CoverUp Stick in Fair; L'Oreal's Volume Millions Lashes; and Benefit's High Beam.

Gosh's 300 powder brush: To be honest when it comes to brushes I can't really tell the good from the bad because this and £2 eye shadow brush are the only ones I own. I prefer to use my fingers to apply makeup but that doesn't really work when it comes to powder! No fall out with this brush but it is starting to get a little scratchy now; applies well, good value for money.

I love this foundation! Must have had three or four bottles of this! It gives medium coverage but can be built up to cover problem areas. It is a very 'glowy' foundation and gives a satin yet natural look, probably more suitable for those with dry skin like myself. The packaging gets a tick, glass bottle and pump; not amazing for travelling but it does have that luxurious, good quality feel.

I <3 this product, again have bought numerous of these. Very cheap meaning that the product and packaging isn't amazing but you get want you pay for. It covers well but has to be blended very thoroughly. Colour range isn't massive so be careful choosing the right one.

I have to admit I bought Glamour magazine twice to receive this free gift! Having dry skin, this is a really nice treat - not sure whether I will buy the full size version though as it only makes a small amount of difference and is very pricey. A bit of a letdown but I still use it because I do feel like it adds a nice touch. Not an essential in my beauty routine but a luxurious extra.

Good mascara but you have to give it time, when I first bought this I wanted to try a volumising mascara and frankly wasn't too excited with the result. However after a couple of goes I have found that it is best applied if held at the root of the lashes for a few seconds, wiggle, and then work on the ends.

Good powder but to be honest it's the only one I have ever tried. If it isn’t broken, don't fix it!
